Member login fields not wide enough

I notice that the Username and Password login fields are only 7 characters wide, perhaps they should be long enough to accommodate the longest user names and passwords allowed.

Any characters behond the last 7 are hidden, it would be nice to be able to view the entire username in case there is a typo.
 
My first choice of username, Asgdjdfkgjkfuwywkm!!!, was pushed by the wayside because of this. I was stuck with Reaver.
