Meet the Covid variants

At least when a new strain of the flu is announced, the markets don't drop 3 percent in light liquidity and lockdowns are not on the horizon, because there was no need to shut down the economy.

I miss the old days, when the flu gave us the sniffles, but we went to work anyway with tissues and green tea. Back then, the government did not pay you to stay home even though you are not sick.

Now you must lockdown in your home because you might infect a 124-YO woman, thus ruining her quality of life.

Covid-19 has a 2% Case Fatality Rate. This is over 20 times that of the seasonal flu.

How do you know? Has the impact of Influenza, or any other virus ever been studied in depth as the Covid shit? When was the last time you heard the media, or the NIH leader, or your local doctor saying to you..."If you get a headache or the sniffles, run to your local pharmacy to get a PCR or rapid test for Influenza"?

When was the last time you heard of an autopsy being done, and them testing for Influenza?

I didn't think so. We have no baseline to compare, because we've never tested for Flu on the scale we did for Covid.

The flu has been studied much more in-depth than Covid — and the flu has been studied for decades.

Actually, with paid sick leave...we do get paid to stay home when sick but not all jobs have such as in its not universal or you need to be at a job for a certain number of months to accumulate paid sick leave.
  • I've never heard of a 124 year old woman in North America causing people to lockdown in their homes to prevent getting Covid. :D
In contrast, I have heard of many nursing homes lockdown in Covid breakout areas to minimize the infection from entering the nursing home.

It's routine now in many schools. If your kid has a cold, sniffles, running nose...they must stay home from school and get a Covid test prior to being allowed to return to school.

I've had to do such twice for each of my teenagers but we didn't need to go to the pharmacy. Instead, I took them to the Covid testing center and we all had a Covid test.

Now that we're all vaccinated. Strangely, not one of them have had a cold, sniffles, running nose although my youngest was recently sent home for telling a nun to fuck off. :(

Your youngest feeling the need to tell a nun to fuck off could be a sign of COVID. You know, it affected his sensibilities, hehe.

Unless it was this kind of nun...
