Probably for the same reason I like trading so much... he gravitates to the challenge of attempting to beat the unbeatable.

The surprising thing is that you think that Republicans are conservatives. I suspect that it's just the same way you think all Blacks are helpless and all Latinos are Democrats.
Time for some facts.
The best way to have handled this would have been to lockdown the border, all borders. Nobody in, out is a one way ticket. Trump tried to do that and was called a racist. Democrat's said come one, come all, and the virus arrived. This is an indisputable fact.
Secondly, we should have quarantined by location, not nationwide. The virus hit NYC first and hardest. What did Comrade DeBlasio do? Told everyone to ride the subways, it's safe. The virus spread. Another indisputable fact.
Had we locked down the border, restricted travel, this thing probably never takes hold that way it did. Had we taken a targeted approach to local lockdowns instead of a nationwide lockdown a whole lot less damage would have been done to the economy, and much less social suffering, which still continues today. Thank a leftist for all of it.
Fast forward to today and these leftists still want wide open borders and completely ignoring the threat from any variant in doing so. This level of incompetence really isn't possible which means it's a plan. This is exactly what you would do if you wanted more viruses to enter the country. Indisputable, a leftist power grab, and it's working.
