Medved QuoteTracker

My god! I can't believe it. Seriously. I have received a reply from EVERY SINGLE e-mail I've sent (in fact, one came back in less than a minute). Replies many times from Jerry himself. The platform is free for crying-out-loud. The support is EXCELLENT. The charts and features are GREAT. The datafeed and brokerage integration are UNMATCHED. The application is CONSTANTLY being updated and improved.

Reiteration--the program is FREE. Registration is $60 a year. In my opinion, that's free, too.

Costly platforms have software, data and server problems as well.

I hate to sound sappy, but the folks at @ 2GK, Inc. are the closest thing to altruism I've seen in a long, long time.

I'm sorry, but how DARE anyone complain about them!

PS: Someone was complaining about losing functionality when their registered version was 'lost'. As far as I know, their is no difference in the functionality--registered or not. You simply get the 'luxury' of increased viewing area due to the removal of the ads.

Well 5R08Astang, at least I thank you for staying "on topic" instead of some people here..

Granted, it is free. And sure, if I do think QT *IS* a great product. If I didnt pay anything for it, I wouldnt feel any such complaint would be in order.

However, no matter how free the product is, I dont consider me shelling $60 "free" regardless.

Maybe I'm a little too high on my horse like someone else suggested, but I think my car-rental analogy pretty much sums up my thoughts on the subject.

Currious, but did you register the product 5R08Astang? Besides the no-adds, you also are allowed more than 2 days of chart data. I will admit my fault in that I also thought that quotes were delayed an additional amount in the un-reg version but that I belive now is false.

Actually, the inability to register only lasted for a few hours today, not the 2 days you mentioned. Yesterday, you could have re-entered the registration code into QuoteTracker and it would have took, because I updated the backup registration servers shortly after the main domain went down.

FYI I tried 2 times on thur (about an hour apart each time) and one time on friday at about 2pm PST. Reg failed both days.

I tried today and registration went through.

Welcome to the world of online trading. You seem young and full of energy and ideas. You have chosen a great career in my humble opinion. As time progresses you will become able to adapt to these situations which WILL happen again, so prepare, learn and be positive. You have your whole life ahead of you.

LOL:

"Young and full of energy and ideas" = Impatient Foolhardy Newbie

"A great career" = A very risky, time consuming, and questionable venture.

"you will become able to adapt to these situations" = Sink or swim.

"situations which WILL happen again" = Will happen many many more times.

"so prepare, learn and be positive" = Dont be such a freakin flamming cry baby.

"You have your whole life ahead of you" = How much money you got?

===========

I think I agree with your conjecture for the most part :p
