Chart for DJIA wont update. Im using IB feed. It will display correctly in the index panel. Any idea what could be wrong??

I had similar problem once, but the panel index wouldn't update, checked feed provider field and for some reason IQ Feed was not selected, it went back to normal after reselecting the source.

Do you have the symbol for the dow in the portfolio as well? If you right click on the chart and select RAW DATA, does the raw data window show quotes that are up to date, or does that data match the chart?

No, the symbol is not listed on my portfolio page.

Data matches chart.

Thnks Romik ... Settings are ok. Chart just suddenly quit updating during the morning.

there is something weird with your configuration. The picture shows that nothing is selected for the primary quote source, yet data is streaming. Chart is open on the index and index panel is open, but there is no index feed - status bar does not show it.

Right click on the index panel and select the option to edit indices. Make sure the correct index source is selected. Select the correct site for the portfolio quotes as well.

If the above does not resolve your problem, please email QT Support with link to this post, and the following files from QT folder so we can see what is up:

STOCKS.INI
PORT.XML
CHARTS.INI
CACHE\SDATA.DMP

Zip the files first. If too big to send, then just send the first 3 and omit the SDATA.DMP

BTW the historical chart updates correctly.

Hey Jerry,

Is there any way that I can apply a custom Paintbar formula to a Line (Moving Average type of) Indicator?

A trader can apply Paintbars to background (multi) bands or candlesticks, but not to any of the Upper or Lower indicators.

Hi Jerry,

Here are two features I'd like to throw out there.

Ability to draw horizontal and trend lines using specified numbers.

1. Horizontal: input one price and a horizontal line is drawn.

2. Trend: input two prices and a trend line is draw between the two points. With the option of extending out those lines.

It seems this would be a great way to put in lines for support/resistance at exact points very quickly and accurately instead of trying to do it manually by dragging the mouse over the chart.
