medved quote tracker locks up

For 3 trading days in a row my quote tracker program has locked up as far
as changing charts is concerned but the price and indicators are all working
correctly. Whenever this happens and I click on a chart, my alarm bell
rings and nothing happens. The only way out of this problem that I know of
is to shut the whole computer down and I can't do that because of all the
time it would take to start up again.


Does anyone else have another solution to this problem? Thanks
 
you may want to delete your data files. Close QT and delete the following in the QT folder
CHLINES.DAT
CACHE\*.*

you will lose your stored data and lines on the charts, but otherwise, all the settings will still be there.
 
if you do that, you would need to re-apply the patch, and you would lose all your preferences, chart settings, portfolios, etc... Wouldn't it be simpler to just delete a few files?
 
If files you mean the daily stock list then I delete those every day and start over. Otherwise I don't know what you are referring to or how to find it.
