Meditation: Does it Help Your Trading?

I doubt I'd still be standing today if it weren't for God. Sure people can debate the existence of God or theology, but it takes as much faith to believe life came from non life as the inverse. All I know is he took a nobody with nothing more than a GED and enabled him with a skill that has a less than 5% success rate.

I'm not fixing to do a theological debate on the existence of God if that's what you're about to attempt. Nothing worse than hours of debate with an atheist who has an axe to grind with anyone who believes in God (not saying that's you. Just saying in general) just to end up in a strawman.
Ok, just thinking, those who do no prayer or meditating also can hit the ball out of the park.

Hi Traders,

Have you wondered, "does meditation help my trading?"

In our endless search as traders for the secret tools that can help us be successful, meditation is commonly turned to. The question is, does it help?

If you are asking yourself this question, check out my new blog.

I've been doing meditation since high school when I played sports and continue using it in college...have been doing such ever since.

It's very helpful in relieving the stress, speeding up recovery before the next strenuous workout.

The same is true for trading...does almost the same thing. Simply, its very useful.

Never said they couldn't. I strictly replied originally on my own precepts for success.
Yep, rightoh, and I agree, I wouldn't wish to turn this into a religous debate as imo that is counter productive.
But prayer (and take religion out of the equation for a moment) is imo about throwing a problem or issue outside of yourself.
Trading requires full ownership, full responsibility, it's about using your gifted abilities to solve a problem.
Just my opinion, but if one were to use a few tools like focus, patience, calmness, dedication, resolve, study, reading, etc they would achieve better goals.

I utilize all of those attributes as well.

And working towards those Jessica Alba and Eve Mendes goals in the process eh ;)

Today I meditated on the fact that you display the logo of the International Coach Federation (ICF) on your website and that your about page says „I was also certified as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coach Federation.“

However, the ICF does not list you as a member nor a current credential holder.

Could you enlighten me on that?

Meditation may be helpful. For me, adequate sleep and avoiding caffeine is way more helpful. Neither meditation nor a good night's sleep is a substitute for knowledge, skill and experience.
