If you are like me and don't know what to do on Sat and Sun morning when the mkt is closed and there is no trading screen to stare at, you watch cspan

they are going to have a segment on the topic of Medicare for All.

as usual, I will watch it and then make an intelligent comment about what I saw on tv.
 
as promised, I am posting an intelligent comment on what I saw on tv. Everything I know about the world is what I saw on tv. In this case the guest was from the University of Chicago. Those guys go both ways right and left politically, but they are for the most part pretty good economists (if there is such a thing.)

The idea is yes, in the long run single payer is cheaper, but there will be hell to pay to get there.

one caller had the idea down. Our healthcare system is based on consumption. The more we consume the better our system is rated.
