I urge you to watch Un-American movie on Prime Video and see for yourself the truth about the much praised UK and Cuba health systems as it actually, is instead, of the BS Sicko movie of Michael Moore. There are actually, hidden cameras to record things as it is happening. Cuban hospitals are rundown, you get filthy dirty matresses and urine and feces on the floor. That is what is really happening. The UK system also, is teethering on bankruptcy among other problems. Watch the movie and open your eyes.

This is exactly what many people don't understand.....at the end of the day... Healthcare in the US is a business like any other business. You need to be your own advocate. You can be hustled if you aren't able of determine a fair price for services. In the past, no one really cared because their insurance coverage was 100%. But now, with 5-10k deductibles people are waking up. For example, the cost of an MRI of the knee in a hospital will probably cost 400-500% more than a imaging center.
A lot of people are missing a good point of this stuff - removing healthcare as an employee benefit. Being forced to work as a wage slave in order to get healthcare is probably the single greatest way to keep people perpetually chasing carrots...almost like it was planned to be that way.
On to the more practical concern of healthcare for all - Bernie claimed (if I remember right) he can deliver healthcare to everyone for 4% more in taxes. If true, that is incredible. Going to the exchange and finding a medium deductible plan for myself (something I think would be approximately what the government would give us) comes out to 7.1% of my total yearly income (closer to 9% or more if you consider worst-case hitting the deductible)! I am not sure how he would accomplish it with 4%, but if possible, would certainly shine light on the reason the Republicans don't want healthcare for all. Control. It would be amazing to save 3-4% on healthcare costs per year AND get insurance even if I lose my job. Nothing quite describes the panic of running out of medication right when you lose your job.
I understand you're trying to be cute. Healthcare should be a human right. Great countries take care of their people first and if we are truly MAGA, and truly America first, we should be concerned with the fact healthcare continues to be the #1 worry on people's minds.

America has and continues to be one of the most chronically ill societies in the world (obesity in particular) and yet we continue to vote against our best interests to take care of our people. I'm beginning to think there should be an IQ test to vote.
