Mean Trump Ruins Courageous Woman's Life

"But two weeks later, the election happened. Once it was clear that Donald Trump would be president instead of Hillary Clinton, I felt sick to my stomach. I wanted to gather my children in bed with me and cling to them like we would if thunder and lightning were raging outside, with winds high enough that they power might go out. The world felt that precarious to me.

My oldest came out of her room the next morning to show me the money the Tooth Fairy had left her. She’d unexpectedly had to have a tooth pulled, and so bravely went through it that I said, “Just think: You’ll always remember the day you got a tooth pulled with the day we elected our first female president.”

When I told her Trump had won, she protested: “But Mom. You said Hillary was going to win.”

A lot of people thought the same thing,” I said. I hugged her, a little scared to send her to school, out into the big sky country of the red state where we live.

...

That urge to cling to my family while keeping our foundation strong didn’t mesh well with continuing to date the man I’d been seeing. He also has a daughter. He, too, had been feeling a lot of the same emotions I was experiencing: hopelessness; fear; uncertainty about the future; panic over having to talk to my 9-year-old about anything that might come up at school, or what to do in the instance of sexual assault. But I couldn’t reach out to him anymore. He was too new, too unfamiliar."

I really do hope that this is a joke.

Two kids at home (with a dog) and you find it reasonable to go on up to six dates in one week? Seriously, you are everything that is wrong with this country right now.

You are pathetic. How can a woman with kids and all that means and all you do be so weak? You had best find a man who voted for Trump - because they have JOBS.

When I told her Trump had won, she protested: “But Mom. You said Hillary was going to win.”LOL. and because Trump won you worry that your daughter will be assaulted. You need help.

This column really infuriates me.

Lady, because I suffer from autism, I find it extraordinarily difficult to connect with anyone, particularly women, despite my incredibly heartfelt efforts. Ergo, I will likely die alone. And oh, would you like to know when I last went on a date? Decades ago, okay ...

Now guess what. Despite knowing what it truly feels like to be lonely, despite being a legal East Indian immigrant and despite suffering from autism, I proudly voted for Donald Trump because I agree with him on so many issues, including but not limited to illegal immigration, Obamacare and abortion, to name a few.

Here are a few other facts about me:

I maintain a successful career and work very hard.
I eat nutritiously and lift weights.
I read a LOT of books, columns, news articles.
I treat people with respect and kindness.
I am polite and tactful in public.
I adhere to strong principles and morals.
I am outspoken and not afraid to challenge the status quo.

Yet because of my autism, I assure you that I will die alone.

Now let us look at you -- a neurotypical woman with two lovely children (I would die for a chance to have a daughter) who seemingly has practically every man at her fingertips yet would rather wallow in pity based on an irrational hatred of Donald Trump.

Sighs. Like I wrote up top, this column really infuriates me ...

Wow. Just wow.
Is this for real??

She won't be spawning, Best election ever !!!

Wow..... This "article" makes very clear that Trump isn't the biggest negative force in your life. What kind of person poisons their kids' thoughts with politics? Good job, mom! The kid is only afraid because you told her she should be. And you tied politics to your child's first lost tooth? That's awful to do to a child. Are you sure you're properly equipped for adulthood? Disappointments happen, you know.

BAHAHAHAHAHAH

On the mechanic who fixed your radiator.......
Would you have refused his service if he voted TRUMP?
What a colossal Hypocrite.

How fragile are these people and how have they managed to exist in the world through to what they now claim is adulthood?

Here I thought this was a real news site. Apparently it's a fake news, personal blog.

At least if she wrote she had an STD, maybe that could be cured. Note to self. Ask prospective women to describe reaction to Trump election as way to weed out crazy whiny needy future girlfriend. Somewhere two guys are planning a huge weekend drunk to celebrate the life long mistake they avoided. Why some women wonder why they are single is beyond me.

The funny thing is these are the same people who look down on us as ignorant bigoted yokels who are not competent to run our own lives without their micromanagement.

Your complaint does not make sense.

You are complaining that some people look down on you : I assume you do not like it as it is a very negative experience, right?
May I ask: can you list the people you look down on? should they like it, and should they consider, as you do, that being looked down on is a negative experience?

This woman clearly is mentally ill. But why on earth is she given the opportunity to show it off in the Washington Post?
