Meals startup Blue Apron delivers $100M IPO filing

I wonder about the people who use these services. I mean, seriously, what kind of hipster uses this?

The way I see it, you only save yourself time from going to the supermarket. But with that, you are paying a lot more for the produce. Ultimately you still have to cook the damn thing yourself.

It seems obvious to me the majority of people, even for the biggest hipsters or yuppies in big cities, you either buy groceries to cook at home, or if you're just in 'lazy' mode then you straight up eat out. What is the point of paying to be delivered unfinished meals? It's not like you can't pull any sort of recipe online or find any sort of ingredient in your local supermarket.

Again, I ask, who uses these services?

If you're adventurous or a wannabe home cook, then you buy your groceries fresh and you go home and cook. If you're lazy, then just order a pizza or go out and eat. You will never find me ordering these unfinished meals that I still have to cook and pay more for it. No way.
 
This boxed meal trend will be done with after the next giant recession.....this is the first thing people will cut from their monthly subscriptions ....i have never used the service...they continue to send me that $30 gift card towards my first service...nope no thanks...i know one person that tried it out for about 4-5 months, but discontinued it recently. I'll buy my own groceries and make my own meals....this hipster movement has to end soon.

In NYC, the supermarkets are quite pricey actually. You do save because there is less wastage.
 

Just as I mentioned....this ipo was nothing but hype...they went ipo because of all the hot money on wallstreet....now the stock is falling again with no bottom in site...if anything they will probably be bought out in the end....too much competition... once the recession comes hopping along I would say an easy 1/3 of people using this service will stop...blue apron is another company out of hundreds of thousands that have never in a single day experienced a slowing contracting economy that was in a recession.....when that day comes it will be quite a surprise...
