Yes, Taiwan related.

The US is harder to asses. We could just as well erupt in civil war due to political polarization, if the US Govt engaged anyone. We would need a Pearl Harbor or 9/11 to galvanize us. Only a crazy terrorist would do that now.

They could certainly try to get supplies from elsewhere, but who would sell to them? I guess they could buy them from franchisee owners in China who would probably mark-up the price severely, but if they were found out, McD could pull their licenses. Would they take that risk? I would not think so.

Mickey Dee's shutting down shuts down the Mickey Dee's brand there.

They can rename them Mikhail Dee's if they want. Just can't use the trademark including Big Crap err Mac etc.
