Not likely. If Obama were white, Hillary would be the nominee. Her negatives were even higher than Obama's. With her it was always going to be a close race.

McCain has stumbled badly the last two weeks and is now looking at a likely blowout. Plenty of republican voters couldn't care less, except they hate to see Palin tainted by his incompetency.
