Mccain won the debate big according to poll

Obama is still the same osama of last year: a Marxist wealth redistributor who doesn't appeal to working, hard working Americans and palls around with terrorists. McCain won this debate handily.

Bio http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fareed_Zakaria

He runs some very good GPS shows on Sundays, reruns on Wednesdays.
Zakaria is a well known intellectual and his shows are truly insightful. He called for an Obama leadership last Sunday.
The show last Sunday was very good, insightful and included an interview with George Soros on the current crisis.
Zakaria is well established in the US and an expert on foreign relations. Obama reading his book is not odd.

I mentioned his books in the economics forum earlier, and need to get them I guess.

Quote from Fractals 'R Us:

Go Drudge!! Any punk ass lefties here that don't like drudge and want my boot up their backside?? I thought not :D
Sorry, but the LEFT/RIGHT two party paradigm is a trap for the unintelligent. Most lefties and righties have been coconspirators in the destruction of this country on all levels. Very few honorable men remain with mentalities like Ron Paul, which are the only mentalities that can give us ANY CHANCE at a return to a citizen controlled constitutional based government.

In 2001 after the attacks on NYC, Zakaria participated in a meeting called by Paul Wolfowitz to analyse US foreign relations towards the Middle East and Afghanistan, resulting in a report to the Bush administration.

I would not suggest that Zakaria is a very leftist person at all... I would suggest he is a moderate politically, and he holds a Ph.D in political science from Harvard.

Quote from Moe27:

98% of small business make less then 250k so joe the plummer wont see his tax go up. McCain plan will give tax breaks to the largest corporations at the same time giving the the plummer his tax break.

For the uninformed: With a good tax accountant the income a small business pays taxes on is a fraction of the income that is actually earned. If the small business owner pays taxes on $250,000 his real income is probably close to $400,000 and if he has a long term tax plan and a bad ass accountant he may really be making close to a $1,000,000. So don't feel sorry for the small business man who pays taxes, he is paying a much smaller percentage than you the wage earner are. Feel sorry for the small business man without a tax plan. As for Joe the plumber I'll bet dollars to donuts that he puts a cash payment in his pocket every time with out claiming it on his tax returns. The high earners you need to feel sorry for are the sports stars, those guys are screwed, making a million or more a year with out business deductions, they really are tax heros.

Quote from sho-tim:

According to a Drudgereport poll at Drudgereport.com, Mccain won the debate by a landslide margin of 72% to 26% for Obama, with the rest going to undecided.

Well, it's just as reliable as a CNN or CBS poll.
