HE IS A COMMUNIST WHO WANTS TO BUY ALL UNDERWATER MORTGAGES, REDUCE THE PRINCIPLE, AND REWARD ALL IRRESPONSIBLE AMERICANS. Homeowners who purchased their home and have paid down their mortgage, never missing a payment, are simply out of luck becuase their mortgage is not underwater like the irresponsible americans. HE WILL THEN ENCOURAGE THE IRRESPONSIBLE aMERICANS TO NOT PAY THEIR NEW, REDUCED, TAYPAYER-FUNDED MORTGAGE SINCE THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT FORECLOSE ON PEOPLE!
Even the Neocons on FoxNews are up in arms over this one. I demand republicans explain to this forum how McCains proposal is not totally idiotic and such an evil form of socialism that it would make Lenin blush.

He's not buying the loans, he wanted to modify the mortgages to make them easier to handle for home owners.

That's not true. he clearly indicated his first priorty if elected President would be to order the Treasury Secretary to purchase all underway mortgages.
Even if what you're saying is true. It's still socialism that rewards the fucking idiots in this country who have a mortgage worth 160% of the value of the house, but anyone responsible who has paid down their mortgage significantly or placed a sizable downpayment like you're suppose to would be simply out of luck under McCains proposal. This rewarding of sheer stupidity would only encourage the fucking idiots to get a second mortgage on the part the taxpayer just bailed them out on or encourage them not to pay their mortgage since they have these special "modified" terms and the government would be unlikley to foreclose upon.

I worked for many engineering firms and I know our capabilities; we still know how to make the best designs. The problem now was that a lot of engineers are migrants from south east Asian nations etc. So in order to keep them we have to give them visas and eventually citizenships. As far as innovations, I still believe no other nation comes closed, except for German and the UK who are the closed seconds to us.
