It seems there's a little more to it than "Mccain did his duty as a citizen" and turned over reports to the FBI.
It's more like, Mccain sent out one of his trusted aids to find evidence, any evidence, even if he has to cross the atlantic to find it, and even if its ridiculous on it's face and from anonymous sources, to attempt a hit job on Trump, a republican.

That guy's critique is perfect. Spot on. That McCain built his career on a misrepresentation of his record of aiding the enemy is telling.

Trump should use surrogates to get out to voters McCain's role in this. Most have no idea, and of course the media are not about to blow the whistle on their favorite republican.
Why do we need to know? If we don't need to know Trump's tax records (as Trump so nicely put it, claiming suddenly the public has no more interest in his tax records other than the rigged media) then we also do not need to fact check the dirt on him that is unearthed. Everything else is hypocritical.
I would agree if McCain had not paid for its development. If he or an agent of his created it, he should completely vet it before he passes it around.
Which is why we need to know who paid for it and how they got it. its the difference between being a responsible citizen and perhaps criminal action... certainly libel and slander.
