The B52 has been in service for ~60 years thanks to periodic upgrades.
Couldn't AF1 simply be refurbished for $100 Million or so?

Boeing charged 100 Million just to look at the new contract according to their press release.
Normally AF One could be refurbished but the Obama's treated it like section 8 housing.
