Rev. Wright is second on the list of approximately 800 things the great Obama has decreed must not be discussed (number one is his middle name). The mainstream media have dutifully fallen into line and will hurl angry accusations of "Swiftboat" at anyone who violates their self-censorship pledge.
Interestingly, the term "Swiftboat" has replaced in current usage the formerly used term "Willie Horton." Both refer to the odious practice of dispelling liberal myths with fact.
The media have evolved an interesting method of cohabitation with the New Media, which made many of their former practices impracticable. Outright lying and defamation before an election for example became problematic. See Rather, Dan. Simply ignoring unflattering items as "unnewsworthy" remains acceptable.
