May Saudi Arabias $ vaya con Dios

In addition, the whole mess makes us look like fools because we actually were watching these people, yet didn't connect the dots. We have all just decided to avert our eyes and not rock the boat

Could also be they had the dots "connected", but chose to let it happen. Why would they do that? One reason... money somehow. Another and perhaps best reason... gave them the cover to enact the heinous Patriot Act into law.

(Would the American government sacrifice the Twin Towers complex plus unknown number of lives in the thousands to enact such power-grab legislation? I think they would and suspected the same the moment I heard of the Patriot Act. It came too soon after 9/11 to not be suspicious. IOW... the Patriot Act was drafted lonnnnnng before 9/11, and they were impatiently waiting for an excuse to enact it. 9/11 was the excuse.)

So when do the Iraqis pass their own Bill permitting Iraqi families to sue the U.S. for killing their families and destroying their country? Or is it OK to invade other countries, kill and maim the inhabitants and destroy their property, so long as it is not a surprise?

It's the difference between wars that are legal under international law and those that are not.

It is not an ideal solution, but successive administrations had done nothing to hold Saudi Arabia accountable. Instead, they actually hid inculpatory evidence, even when morons like Rosie O'Donald were peddling wild conspiracy theories that the government did it or Israel did it.

You're not suggesting that the U.S. invasion of Iraq was legal under international law, I hope.

NYC is a pretty Saudi-friendly city, they could probably get away with anything there without being watched too closely. :)
how do people know the difference between Saudis and other arabs? is there much of a difference?

The U.N approved it.
That is what the U.S. said. And This along with all the Other Lies told to the American people by the G.W. Bush administration is absolutely and categorically untrue. Cheney, Bush, and Blair should have been arrested and tried as war criminals.

The U.S. and Great Britain never asked the U.N. to approve its invasion. Rather the U.S. and Britain illegally used Res. 1441 as a pretext for invasion. The U.S. Sec. of State recognized that this would be an illegal invasion, but did not speak out publicly against it.

from the Web:
The United Nations secretary general, Kofi Annan, declared explicitly for the first time last night that the US-led war on Iraq was illegal. Mr Annan said that the invasion was not sanctioned by the UN security council or in accordance with the UN's founding charter.Sep 15, 2004

According to an independent commission of inquiry set up by the government of the Netherlands, UN resolution 1441 "cannot reasonably be interpreted as authorising individual member states to use military force to compel Iraq to comply with the Security Council's resolutions."[29][30]

To secure Syria's vote in favor of Council Resolution 1441, Secretary of State Powell reportedly advised Syrian officials that "there is nothing in the resolution to allow it to be used as a pretext to launch a war on Iraq."[37]

Russia, the People's Republic of China, and France issued a joint statement declaring that Council Resolution 1441 did not authorize any "automaticity" in the use of force against Iraq, and that a further Council resolution was needed were forced to be used.[36]

Now, give me your opinion. Do you think the war was legal under international law?

Great. When will the victims be closer to having a chance at getting paid for it?
I wonder if the Saudi's have started withdrawing funds from U.S. banks yet? I would think that will scare the shit out of McConnell and company.
