Maximum Age to be President.

The age limit and birth restrictions are both pretty lame restrictions because a murderer or someone with a low IQ, or clinical psychopath, fraudster, con men, are all still allowed to run.

Let the people decide if a specific 20 something year old is too inexperienced, or if Elon/Arnold are not good enough (not that Elon would ever run, but Arnold might have)

Also by age 35, humans on average are already mentally passed their prime:

When Do Mental Powers Peak?
Research suggests that certain mental abilities reach their highest points at the following ages:
  • 18-19: Information-processing speed peaks early, then immediately begins to decline.
  • 25: Short-term memory gets better until around age 25. It remains fairly steady until it begins to decline around age 35.
  • 30: Memory for faces peaks and then starts to gradually decline.
  • 35: Your short-term memory begins to weaken and decline.

Based on the above age 35 should probably be a maximum not a minimum :D:D:D

The real question is, how much experience do you have at a young age? Not much.

Yet in numerous professions such as airline pilots (age 65) there are maximum ages where retirement is required. Experience is good, but at some point age overtakes the value of it in stressful jobs. For the most powerful position in the world, the President of the United States, there also should be a maximum age, not just a minimum age.

I agree that there should be a maximum age requirement. Sixty-five sounds about right. Maybe 70.
