and Praetorian's GNP action was awesome.

and if anyone finds resinate or banjo (not sure which) tell them i still have the, "Open outcry" VHS tape they sent me. I'll send it back, but does anyone still have a VCR?

I love that documentary! I have both the VHS and the DVD. Banjo still posts on ET from time to time. I think he is sailing the world.

What are your price drivers saying about his chart though? :)

A successful trade:

1) A signal. 20%

2) Trade Management. 20%

3) Your trading plan. 40%

4) Psychology. 20%

Totals to 100%.

Quote from Rationalize:

More and more I view "signals" (even actual stat arb) as a minor element, while execution / order management is everything -- so much so that I think, even if an excellent order management strategy were described publicly, there'd be very few who could actually re-implement it.

When every thousandth-of-an-inch counts, the machine's hard to replicate, even with a blueprint.

Surf,

Let's say one day you develop your price drivers into a real strategy where you could possibly successfully manage a hedge fund for $ billions, or you could keep posting them here for free and someone else uses them to make money, while you stay in Sim.

Would you keep giving away your signals for free, or would you manage a hedge fund.? Or say you automate your strategies making it even easier for you, do you just keep giving them away for free, or do you make some money?

Even if you are want to give money to the poor, is it not better to make yourself a couple $ billion to setup a trust fund in your name?

Or once you make a few $ billion, would it not be better to teach people to fish like Jack H does, instead of once in awhile positing a signal here on ET?

Makes sense. Good luck in the combine!
