Maverick74 and marketsurfer's TopstepTrader Combine (daily trade reports and journal)

Quote from kinggyppo:

there should be cliff notes for this thread, if you don't agree with surf he put's you in the "TA" camp, whatever that means. Most of life never mind trading is performance based. I will sum up with one of the best et quotes ever from optioncoach.

"skill, edge, just make some fu&*in money"

:p

great quote! no, that's not an accurate statement-- if you claim to have an objective, programmable TA system that rarely loses, YET have excuses on why not to demonstrate on the Combine in a controlled environment-- i put you in the TA true deluded camp.

So because someone chooses not to participate in a paper trading controlled environment you "put" them in the TA deluded camp.

So where do we "put" someone who did participate in a paper trading controlled environment and their ending balance is less than their starting balance?

In addition does winning/losing prove that their style of trading is workable/faulty?

Does winning or losing really prove anything?

It doesn't stop me from doing my thing (happens to be TA based).

Sorry for getting real, let's get back to the drama.

Your right, tonka . But it's a start, remember I am only calling out those who make the claims and are vocal about it. Why talk about your success here if you are unwilling to demonstrate? I don't get it.

so what does your performance say about "price drivers"? -- if TA doesn't work, and "price drivers" don't work, and you apparently know what works ('price drivers'; which don't work); what works??

My last post was deleted so I am trying this again.

Why in the world does it matter so deeply to you?

As far as I know ND is not offering to sell anything.

You sound like someone that can't get trading to work so you denigrate someone else that can.

Get a life.

I've had many PM discussions with people here; concerning my trading, their style of trading, charts and having discussions regarding specific setups.

I'll post something on a thread, say, concerning multiple time frames and OHLC analysis and I'll get PM's from time to time wanting to discuss. And we'll have a back a forth discussion for a few messages. No demands for proving anything, no gonzo hate vibes from the anti-TA brigade. Just questions/discussions that benefit both parties.

If you want to talk about trading, we can do that too. :)

Just trying to find market truth, brother-- so obviously, i would be drawn to those who claim to have the market wired, particularly with a methodology that has been shown time and time again to have zero edge over time. I never denigrate anyone, just outrageous and nonsensical claims should be challenged, particularly those that refuse testing-- why is that a problem?
