Maverick74 and marketsurfer's TopstepTrader Combine (daily trade reports and journal)

Quote from taclander:

Hmm, that sounds familiar. Isn't that pretty much the proposition with TST? I am not claiming they are a fraud, all I want is the newer to trading and people who keep pissing away, as you point out; $200-300, a month on the lastest greatest, to do their own due diligence.
Go ahead and swear I have some evil intention, but the reality like most, I have been through that crap. You maybe the one who needs to grab a breath of fresh air. I don't hate someone because they are successful whether in trading or a trading business. I'm not looking to save the world, just thought it might be helpful to remind people to look for themselves and not just jump on the bandwagon because a couple of guys are doing it on ET. I am the first to admit I don't do a good job of getting to my might when typing and I end up probably going too far, for that I apologize.

What I see is that vendors are defending other vendors , Maverick, Austinp are stepping up the plate for TST.

Austinp,

Do you have any real results ?
[Trading on the simulator of TST and no real results on your website ]

Maverick,

What are your real results ?

You know what I find funny Surf? You have over and over again, proved you are not a good trader. Nothing personal, just stating the facts based on your performance. But yet you spend hours on here shooting down other traders. It's really ridiculous. You are like the little kid who strikes out everytime, but yaps away at all the kids who are getting hits.....telling them they can't hit.

Your price drivers are completely random guesses (See WFC short that changed to a long very quickly), your performance on TST was basically similar to a gambler who had no idea to what he was doing and going on tilt every 5 minutes.

So how on god's green earth can you continue to come on here and blab about what works and what doesn't when you clearly have no idea how to trade?

I don't know this Nodoji person, and have not followed her, but she seems 1000 x the trader you are. She is well thought out, has a stategy, knows when to take a loss. Everything you don't have or do.

I win and I lose, like everyone else in the real world of trading. I test myself in public, the TA brigade here are fearful of losing so they run from the challenge with fanciful excuses. One guy even said he doesn't have "real time" charts so he can't participate. RIDICULOUS! BUt I tried to offer some advice and help him out---- to no avail--- what happens? the joker comes back on here with a negative vibe ----sad but true:

She claims she has an ATM machine system, she suggested it would take $50k of lost opportunity cost to demonstrate her system in real time in the controlled environment of a 10 session Combine. She claims her system is not subjective intuitive but is objective and able to be automated. This is complete and utter BS--- why you want to believe these claims speaks volumes of your market knowledge and ability. DOn't you think these kind of claims should be challenged? UNLESS, you just have such a gonzo hate vibe on the marketsurfer, your discernment has been out of wack.

For Austin: [snip] I personally don't care how or where you waste your time or money, but here is my prediction about you and TST: You will spend a few months chasing a dream with them, and eventually you will realize you either not making money or it is not worth the effort.

Let's get back to this prediction in 5-6 months, shall we? And I will be very happy for you if I am proved wrong, and I mean it....
(you are actually ET's real tester, not Mav or Surf, because you are actually trying to get backed)

Sounds good... how about a $100 gift certificate to one's favorite restaurant as the prize on April 1st, 2013? That way, whoever can say "I told you so" may do it over dinner with a loved one :)

As for myself, I'm trading CL personally and CL + ZS in the combine alongside. So I push a few buttons each day and pretend money accumulate or distributes. There is promise of real money in the end if pretend money and other factors all add up.

That's about the extent of my "working" and "chasing" involved here with this project. I couldn't have less at risk on the table if I tried

No trading for me today. It was a great day overall, 70F and sunny outside. I spent the vast majority preparing for an upcoming hunting trip... passed thru the office once or twice for brief moments and that was it.

CL completed its rollover process from Nov to Dec contracts today. I'm not sure which I would rather sit thru the least: rollover sessions for futures contracts, or Hulk Hogan's illicit sex tape.

Either one is painful and unappealing on several levels.

**

One or both of the next two sessions are highly probable to be large-range and possibly big trend session tapes in CL specifically and ZS possibly. I will definitely be hunting for 100+ cent CL and 10+ cent ZS trades, from entry to exit on 10 - 15 contracts.

Four days left for the combine. All will be managed the same. Seeking directional price swings in harmony with current trends, with 10 - 15 contracts for the ride.

Final day of Combine for Marketsurfer. Thank you very much for participating and allowing your Trade Reports to be on display.

Sure, you would deserve it. But here is one thing, would you consider your experience a success if at the end of 5 months you made let's say 5K-8K from TST? In that case that is a nice amount for risking nothing, but hardly enough to live on and you could have earned the same working as a (well, anything)....

I won't crucify Mav or Surf for coming up empty handed in this "combine", but I will ask the validity of this "experiment"? Without the usual banter how is it different from many other vendors? Feel free to denigrate my post, but I would sure be more pleased if you could tell how this is different.

yes, 98 examples to be exact. I made this reply to your question earlier, but mine must have inadvertantly gotten deleted while yours did not. Each post is connected to the other, I would expect both question and answer posts should exist or delete equally together
