Mav invites RCG to dinner...will he accept?

Quote from Grandluxe:

Wow what were you in for?

Voter Intimidation.:D Not really. I have been convicted of assualt, public intox, couple of petty thefts over a 10 year period. Never did a serious time. Few weeks here and there.
I am proud to say I haven't had a drink or a drug for 27 years. Haven't laid my hands on a person over the same period, which has been tougher than not drinking. Not so much now as an old man. Don't steal anything from anyone, at least materially.:D I'm a real upstanding citizen, but there was a time when I wasn't and in a big way.

Pabst understanding of economics allowed him to foresee huge moves, i doubt he's running on fumes
Your memory is selective. I remember him running into fairly large losses and not knowing what to do, clairvoyance notwithstanding. Perhaps a search would be time well spent. For you.

Taunting? Ricter, you are invited too!!!!! :)
Thanks, declined. As I'm more than satisfied with our interactions right here, the marginal utility of travel and expense is zero.

So at what point were you laying on one of those hard ass patties in your bunk, thinking, man I can't wind up in here again!:D

Everybody has their, I gotta stay outta jail moment.:)

Then they implicitly agree with your views, and your threads, nuff said.

No, they most certainly do not agree with my views. LOL. OK, let's try something. Nitro, he worked in my office. Do you think he is a racist? What about Rearden Metal? What about Don Bright? What about Surf? What about Baron? Joe?

Brass, i'm only going on memory as to the calls he made on the economy in advance that came true, so it's only a supposition, very little knowledge beyond that, so if you know more than me ,which is very little, i'm in no position to doubt you

May/June, 1984. Got out, came back to Indiana. Ran rough for another 14 months. Knew I was going down again in 8/85 and said Uncle. Can't say I never looked back, but I finally started looking forward. That was enough.

To be candid, I don't remember his calls or anyone else's on the economy because I never really follow them. I only remember some large losses he incurred, as described by him here at ET. I don't know if they were offset by his wins, but that is not the general impression I have. My recollection is that his biggest claim to ET fame was that he made something over a million dollars trading bonds one year, many years ago, and he was sure to bring it up from time to time. To be sure, that's nothing to frown about by any stretch. But, unless I am very mistaken, that was as good as it got and he never came close again. Do you have any specific recollection of his economic vision translating into meaningful tangible return while he was (or still is?) here at ET, and that he was trading net positive? Serious question.
