Mattis Quits

Has anyone queried Mattis out on his book tour - lefty media appearances- about his time serving on the board at Theranos?


Just sayin. If he is getting rich touting how his judgement was always superior and up on Mount Olympus, let's talk about that a bit. Hope his judgement in other areas is better.

Or maybe he did see it, but the cha-ching cha-ching got in the way. As I recall he was advocated using the bogus Theranos testing while he was still in uniform, advocating that the military should take it on. Then when he left the military, just by coincidence he is getting six figures for sitting on their board. cha-ching, cha-ching, cha-ching. And yeh, there were plenty of others doing the same thing, but I am talking about Mattis right now. He is the one going around getting rich being uppity right now- not Kissinger or George Shultz- so let him do some splainin. The demo-cretans here will argue that that has nothing to do with his trump related service. Not so, he is the one taking the position that his shiite and management never stinks, and that Trump is just some private sector hack interested in money. Looks like Mattis does a bit of that himself.

lol Betsy DeVos lost $100MM on her Theranos PE investment. I think she's got a cabinet position. Oh yeah, the Chmn of Fox as well.

And yes. Plenty of others too. George Shultz, Kissinger etc. Shame on all of them. Do I think I could have been avoided being fooled as long as they did? This saga dragged on long, long, long after it was discovered that she had sent blood tests out to an outside lab to have the work down but she presented the results as having been performed by her secret gizmo machine. How many times do you need to see something like that for your bullshitomer to go off - for me it was just once. Maybe if I was being paid six figures to be stupid it would have taken me longer.

Anyway, as discussed before, one of the ugly things about american politics - with both parties- these days is that candidates will not appear on various networks and programs who are no on their team already. Then suddenly you see them everywhere with everyone and that means only one thing- that they have a book deal and their contract with their publisher requires them to suddenly get around to all venues. They all do it and it is el sucko. You know, Hillary lost the election for - among other reasons- not campaigning in Wisconsin and Michigan- but then when her book comes out to whine about losing- she appears at half the book stores in those states to promote her book. Crazy shiite.

Not sure that you dems are going to be able to use this Mattis-Trump flap as a weapon in the 2020 campaign. He was not happy with Obama either.

Not to forget too, that General McCrystal was fired for pointing out- among other things- that Biden was a clueless clown when it came to military matters. No one disagrees that he needed to be fired for misconduct, but that was his assessment nevertheless. No one ever said that Biden was a military genius or had good relations with senior command officers so he and Obama and the dems in general are not getting a pass just because Trump is taking hits.

I don't follow why Mattis is so quick to point out that he is a politcal hack here, all while he likes to promote himself and defend his actions by saying that he is just a straight shooter.

He is saying that he told the truth about Biden in his book but would not have done that or done so as directly if he had known that Biden was going to run for President.

President Donald Trump described former Defense Secretary James Mattis as “the world’s most overrated general” during a meeting with Congressional leaders Wednesday to discuss Turkey’s incursion into Syria.

That’s according to a Democrat familiar with the meeting who offered a readout of the contentious meeting on condition of anonymity.

Trump, according to the person, was presented at one point with a quote from Mattis warning of an Islamic State group resurgence if the U.S. does not continue to apply pressure. But Trump responded with the insult, criticizing Mattis for not being “tough enough.”

Trump also said during the meeting that 100 Islamic State prisoners had escaped following the U.S. withdrawal from the region, but insisted they were the “least dangerous” ones.
