51% attack would like to have a word... Also, why would I want the public to look into my wallet? Where is my privacy? You see, public ledger is a double edge sword.
I personally think blockchain could be used for voting and such (each voter gets a coin and where they send it counts as vote, so the public AND the voter can check if the vote was recorded correctly, no messing with votes).
