Quote from Picaso:
Matcha, don't beat yourself up, F-days are called that for a reason and it has nothing to do with the FED. Many experienced traders simply stay out of the market on FED days because of all the hardcore games.
As for your last trades, keep in mind that when the market goes parabolic the moving averages are basically worthless and you have to either stay out or trade the momentum (which when you entered was down - aaaahhhh, the power of hindsight- but think about the first part of this paragraph
).
One thing, I'm not sure if I've missed something, but you're still in sim, right?
thanks ! Will definitely stay further away from F-day and the parabolic move after the announcement.
went on live 2 weeks ago. might go back and forth between SIM and LIVE depending on performance!
- but think about the first part of this paragraph
).
I did well and love today's market action. First time going through a Fed Announcement game? I should have warned you. Wild move one way or the other, and typically followed by sharp reversals. (Though sometimes... no reversal. It's not a given. May be need to observe the actions in the past.)
