I went to China with 2 laptops and 2 monitors. I even bought a 240V/110V transformer at Ngap Liu Street to power the two monitors when the hotel didn't have any for me to borrow. (Cheap Serviced Aparement.... next time a five star hotel no less.
)I think I am gonna bring my laptops and monitors to London, Moscow, Rome, Paris, Vienna, Sydney, Nova Scotia, etc. to set a record.
To trade stocks well, one needs to watch the futures very carefully.
Others said I am a confused/crazy person. Remember I bob my head among 20 monitors each cluttered with useless indicators? I am a 51 year old woman living in my Mom's basement trolling the Internet all day.
No you can't peer inside my brain, as I can't explain what/why I do. It is like asking a surf how he surfs, how he catches the waves. My method/style cannot be easily understood or followed.Enclosed is a trade I did to play AAPL reversal in the morning very early on. AAPL was very strong for whatever reason. I am happy with that fading trade. It's just a sample of what I typically do. Later on realizing that AAPL was strong today I flip to do the long side.
But this thread is not about me. It's about our sweetie Matcha's learning to trade. I have stolen enough lime light on her stage.

I feel that candlestick and bar-by-bar analysis are so overrated.
Many discounted, or totally dismissed, any kind of indicators on a chart. Quoting that all indicators lag price. True, price action is important. But indicators, when used well, can also help us decide on and time an entry.
From you guys' charts... not sure if you use any kind of momentum indicator at all. I know Matcha uses RSI (and previously stochastics). That's good.
Enclosed is a chart on the afternoon price action around the Fed announcement. Momentum indicators can help you either play a reversal or avoid chasing a late move. (The two on the chart are proprietary ones. But you can find some "squeeze" indicators on the Internet.)

At around 11:00 am, ES went for a higher high ~1131 but momentum went a "second mouse" lower high. Momentum Divergence. Reversed. After the announcement, yes market shot up... but... at around 12:10 pm... ES equal high 1132.50. Momentum clearly lower high. Again: momentum divergence. tlow you were long ES at around there (if I remember correctly) and wanted to squeeze 4 ES points out of that.
May be practice to interpret what the momentum indicators are telling you on the quality of the move and the stage of the move.

You MUST control your emotions!!!Now Yang Guo is an orphan who's full of emotions and hatred, extreme anger etc ... he's bullied by others since a little kid ... after he met and learnt from XiaLongNui .. he grown up to be a mature brave pugilist who can control his emotions very well ( well... except ..of coz he can't control his loving feelings toward XiaLongNui la )
XioLongNui and Yang Guo are very special unconventional, anti-tradition couple! They think "Outside of a Box' .. In trading , we must also think "Outside of a Box" ...
Sis was an intern, an apprentice under a Sifu and now i am the mentor of my apprentices in asia ... all are very intelligent apprentices but i can tell who's going to be very, very successful as a trader and who's going to fail as a trader ... from their characters and egos and attitudes ...
i know You & Matcha are going to be CP ... must go thru some high heat & pressure to produce beautiful sparkling diamond LOL
