I agree ... to a point .......The range market as you call it just calls for a bit of a change in strategy. However I dont approach it in the way you seem to imply. I dont use any type of leap of faith, rather, I change my entry and exit strategy - usually with more entries and exits than would be typical in a trend correlating market/issue. Multi-day position strategies are also modified.

FYI thus far this mornings pre-market activity doesn't suggest any type of fall off a cliff reaction to yesterdays earnings misses in technology.... but things can change and I will carefully watch matters unfold before calling and adapting to any change in sentiment.
