You bring a pot of water to a boil.

Put some salt and a little mooseshit in the pot for some seasoning.

Also put a medium size rock in the pot.

Then put the loon in the pot and reduce it to simmer for three or four hours.

Keep poking the rock every twenty minutes or so. When the rock is tender, so is the loon.
