The Sears catalogue contained more than BB guns. I used to check it out each year as a child in hopes of Christmas gifts.

So tell me where do we see ads today with children being given BB or real rifles as gifts in a family setting. It used to be common -- what happened to the good old days. Of course, this was back at a time where our high school in suburban Long Island had both a riflery (22s) and archery team. Those days are long gone.

The real guns would not have been in kids hands on adverts except for rabbit rifles as people were not seriously stupid back then. Where people were a bit stupid was how realistic some toy guns were but these were mostly six shooters and say M-16s any adult knew could not be real as not full size and an eight year old could not lift a real one.

A show I've wanted to see for 20 years was real soldiers go up against the @Tsing Tao s of America and see how long the mall ninjas last. I guess nobody has made this as it would be too disappointing for fat tubs of turd to watch after a few episodes.
