Martins Beach: Eminent domain hearing today

It's hard to believe that he couldn't find a "normal" piece of property that wouldn't have require him to deal with the public in this way and look like a jerk in the process.

My father has met him. He’s a jerk in real life. He might have done it intentionally thinking that he owns San fransico.
 
That is far too general a statement.
Would you want you neighbor to open a pig farm or a shooting range next to you.
At some point existing use needs to be protected.

What if you are downriver and expecting the water to flow. Who has the rights. Rule of law comes into play so people can make long term investments.

I don't know about that, it's bad precedent to allow the state to dictate how private property should be treated.

I feel the city should've put an easement on the land if they felt so strongly about public access. What's the point of buying property if you can't use it as you will?
 
I was born in Southern California. I am so glad I moved. I have never looked back. I am embarrassed of California and to tell people I was born there.
