Marrying for money

Quote from Comptalk:

It used to be soo simple. Now it is just too complicated. Better off staying unmarried with a girl in a non-common law state. Safer.

It still is.
If men would start behaving like MEN, the amount of goldiggers would shrink considerably.

all women want a guy who's financially secure at the minimum, and filthy rich at best. if a woman says otherwise, she's lying.

there's nothing wrong with dating a young, attractive chick who wants a guy with money, as long as you don't end up marrying her or going into debt for her. i usually date women in their 20s, and of course they need to be above average in looks. the hotter the better. i'm sure they wouldn't date me if i were broke. it's a mutually beneficial relationship. but i know my financial limits; i never spend more than i can afford.

pretty young women are like jeans: wear one for a while, then replace it when it becomes a bit worn.

So, there's nothing wrong to treat a woman like an object, and to be treated like a cash cow, then.
No wonder there's so many escorts/hookers/goldiggers...

I don't think there's anything wrong with a woman wanting a man that's financially secure, for a long term relationship or marriage. A requirement for being filthy rich, well that's something entirely different. Any woman of quality, should require a man that can hold a steady job and pay his share of the bills, with the exception, of course, of a man trying to start a new business venture. I actually required the same kind of deal.

Before my wife and I got married, I made it very clear that I would not be the only one working. It has worked out very well. Very well for her as well, since she now has her Ph.D and if by some remote chance we ever do get a divorce, she'd have her own career to fall back on. So its a win-win situation.

You haven't met the right one yet. Its that simple. I met my queen 20 yrs ago and still feel the same way about her as the first time I looked in her eyes.

Rent the movie The NoteBook sometime. It does happen.

A long term happy marriage is something money just can't buy.
Imagine that you were a stock, like BRK. You're humming along around $150,000 a share, the ticker is moving along smoothly, up until the "Notebook" comment. That comment just triggered a massive selloff. Now your stock is being delisted and the shares are being sold for $.0001 a share.

just givin ya a hard time :D the notebook is a total 'chick flick'

I watched it with my wife the other night. Now, if I watched it by myself, then maybe it'd be as my 13 yr old son would say "that's real gay Dad".
