if you want kids and that is a primary motivation for most to marry then you must look for a good woman who is a manager of the household, good with kids, frugal enough and has some common sense. Further she must love you and work with you. Kinds often keep families together that otherwise would fall apart due to time and alienation of the parties. I got married for the second time because I got very sick of "dating" and I was very lonely. The child came and it keeps us together. Fortunately my wife is a good mother and she keeps a good household. If you marry with your penis the infatuation of the sex will wear off and if there is nothing behind it than you will hate each other like dogs and cats. I now realize than if you do not want kids and you are not pre-40's then it is indeed stupid to get married and cohabitation is better. If you worry about your money then draw up an agreement before anyone moves in.

Like someone posted previously, before anything, before the fucking, before the moving, before the chase and the marriage. Look in the mirror, know yourself, your true self.
Dont make choices from previous biases, from your environments choices, from what older siblings did or your friends do, etc..
Make the choice in partner that makes YOU happy,, hell everyone loves the hot blonde with big tits and can suck the chrome off a hitch, but if you like a more intelligent girl. Then go for what you really want.

The old "woman scorned bullshit", huh? She could wind up no better than the man she is vindictively treating. And who knows, she might have drove him away intentionally, so she can "go party". It works both ways. Simple fact is most relationship failure is due to disrespect. Popular media and culture portray the male as the guilty party, when in fact women are doing just as much damage, but is rarely heard about. Treat each other with respect and things run a lot smoother.
