Umm, I don't have "feelings" about trading strategies. If they work well with a reasonable Sharpe, why not use them? I would think being agnostic about strategies is a good meta-strategy.

However, much of Surf's commentary about trendfollowing (though I haven't read it all) was about the quiddities of individual practitioners - fees, costs, performance & etc.
 
Since we're using this thread as tribute to The Great marketsurfer, I think it would be fair to mention that today IS his birthday. So why don’t we sing happy birthday to surf later today. Does noon work for ya’ll or will your cubicle mates mind?

Probably. But it shouldn't come as a surprise. Look at his judgment as it relates to surf.

As an aside, if VN were to post on ET wouldn't he come across a lot like Rodney?

IIRC there was a general belief he was himself posting a couple years back. I forget the handle, but probably others would know.
