Marketsurfer Declares STOCK BOTTOM IN!

I don't know where you guys get these arbitrary numbers, or why you feel compelled to post them.

All I feel confident of is the direction, and that's good enough for me if I have skin in the game and get it right.

There are so many people who obsess over specific numbers to the detriment of the larger investment picture.

Just because you don't understand that doesn't mean they are arbitrary. :)

Quote from Pekelo on 11/14:

We have a possible dragon formation failure phase coming up on the daily chart. The height of the first bottom is ~160 points. The failure point could be around 925ish (half of the height from the 2nd bottom of 850: 850+160/2). This also happens to be the SMA 9 bounce line.

The bottomline is this: if we bounce back from the SMA and the rally fails here, we will fall the same distance of 160 points and that would bring the market down to 925-160= 765 before any meaningful bounce....

guys, what's todays LOD in DJ30?

Quote from marketsurfer:

if 7777 breaks, you can say adios to marketsurfer!

7774.58

Bye-Bye MS.

Now you get to show your true colors. Will you be a man and live up to your word, or be a lying scumbag (like stock_trad3r) and continue spamming ET even after you said you would leave?

Quote from marketsurfer:

The Bottom has been hit in the stock market. The DJIA will not dip below 7777 for at least the next 2 years.

Or the next 16 days.

:)

MS called THE BOTTOM at 9600+ and the market immediately freefalls to sub 7777 in sixteen days.

This has to be a record even by ET standards.

If one were so inclined, one could give Surf the benefit of the doubt and mark the INDU at the close each day. Right now it's 8051 and has never closed sub-7777.

And if it closes on the day below 7777, then we should wait for a weekly close below 7777. And if it closes on the week below 7777, then it only follows that we wait for a month-end close below 7777. And of it closes below 7777 for the month...

It's all about flexibility, eh?

You seem uninclined to give Surf the benefit of the doubt -- certainly your prerogative. But in that case, my post didn't pertain to you.

I am merely referring to surf's numerically specific prediction, which he presented without condition (i.e., at the close, etc.). If he wishes to be praised for his ~accurate calls, then he should be prepared for the criticism of his hubris after a much ballyhooed poor call. No one gets to have it both ways, especially when he pulls a number out of his hat or armpit and calls it "research."

Do you actually believe that it won't close below 7777 in the near future, let alone within the next 2 years? Do you believe that such "research" actually exists? If so, then why not stock up? Put your money where surf's mouth is.
