Market's Been Down For 3 Hours...

Just a quick question. I know futures ended trading 15:15 CST or 1:15PM PST. However, the quotes are moving yet I can't get out. I got in at the lows. But IB wouldn't let me execute. Those quotes are fake or not real?

P.S. Finally it let me out at a slight profit. Whew! 1:31PM PST. And execution did happen.

During a market trading halt, like the 3:15 to 3:30 PM CT window, certain order types can be modified/cancelled etc. That is what is causing that.

Thanks goodness IB let me out at a slight profit. It has since moved further down.. lol

I got whipsawed this morning on NQ. I was short even. But the first few minutes got whipsawed out of my position and got out at a loss. Was so disappointed. With shorts, you gotta pick your spots very carefully given the nasty buy the dip crowd that rips up and tear your shorts apart.

Then late afternoon, I participate in a reversal and went long for 37 pts on NQ! Bam! Got out at the top of that move. Then it moved down hard after that. Whew! With countertrend trades, you gotta be superfast. Can't be holding.

Should have gotten back in for another 30 pts ride up at the last lows. But glad I made back all of my losses in the morning and some on NQ!

I guess I would have made more if I had stayed short and held. but for me, it's hard to hold through 30pts whiplash

Quick Check, mostly longs, started off Longs then zoomed out and realised massive down day tried to play shorts, then ended up jumping on little reversals, which didn't go very far, why so many trades.

1 Trade short went 60pts took 15, 1 trade went 30pts a long Cat knocked my arm closing it seconds before it broke up LOL.

Good day, trading 1/10th size till I'm back in it sadly, but still profit is profit, 3am still buzzing. Start 1/10 if trading well double up till I can handle the pressure and repeat.

On the Tablet, finger too close to the Close button, damn cat!!

I did that twice other time saved me some cash :)

No chance I'm trading DAX 8am open 5hrs away tomorrow again, NQ suites me better anyway.
