Market Value calculation of option

you were denigrating his trade when his question had nothing to do with the rationale of the position and then you got virtually every aspect of the situation wrong: earnings, timing, and vol level.

You were trying to show off your smarts and you turn out to be the dumbest guy in the thread.

Lol, you're too much.... I just admitted I made the mistake in assuming he took these calls last week. How long do you plan to rub it in for?

You sound like a broken record.

you got the earnings release wrong. You got the valuation of the options wrong.
And you didn’t even try to answer his question.

you keep saying you only got the timing of his trade wrong as if that is even relevant.

So why are you making a big deal out of it?

Are you some kinda perfectionist who gets extremely offended by others mistakes? You seem to love to point out errors.

why won’t you admit you had no clue what you are talking about? I corrected your mistake about the earnings and you continued to argue with me about it bro.

Bro it was priced much higher in expectation of delivery numbers. He bought OTM 1150 weekly calls (approx $100 out from the underlying.) which cost him $3100 a contract. If you look at the 1280 calls currently right now (approx $100 out from the underlying) they're priced at only $800 a contract or less.

Example of You talking out of your ass.

Perhaps you should spend your time reading this forum. There are a lot of great posts about options instead of validating dunning-Kruegers theories.

Ok I admit I have no clue what I was talking about if that makes you feel better bro.

Jeezus christ! We got an extremist here...

it does. Does it make you feel better to admit it? It should. learn about options so you can actually help people who ask legitimate questions.

@newwurldmn, just curious, are you able to see how atm implieds behaved from mid last week until after the delivery release? I don't follow TSLA but am curious. I think you mentioned 58 or 60 vol points earlier, was that in line with implieds throughout the past week or so?

Didn't you read his previous post? "It was not priced on any delivery info." Don't you dare doubt the options nazi now...

they were coming down from late dec to 12/31 across the board. They jumped on the rally yesterday with the shorter terms moving up more than the longer terms (as would be expected)
