The “strength” of the Russian people is fine but they will get annihilated in a war with America. Make no mistake, they antagonize and push to leverage annoyances strategically where they can but that is only to the extent where they avoid direct conflict. As an FYI, the average age of the enlisted soldier is 27 and 34 for officers and they’d all leave Ken Langone exactly where they found him. There isn’t anything more lethal on this planet pound for pound than a US soldier.

Biden on a bad week is still better then anything Trump brought to the table. The main issue the US government has now is the obstacles being put up by most of the Republicans and a few renegade Democrats. Of course you can't see it because of your deep seated political bias ( not unlike your trading actually ). You might want to ask yourself if the side you are on is the same one as the avid covid deniers and racists on here, whether you've misjudged something about the situation and who you believe in.

Does not matter.... if Putin cannot control Ukraine politically he sees noting stopping him from simply going in with military..... what can the people do.... Putin is not freely elected so he can do whatever he wants..

Putin is more likely to try to take the Eastern Ukraine where he has support and inroads if he does anything.

It is not necessarily an all or none for him. And in regard to "what can the people do," in the Eastern Ukraine the question also becomes "how much do they want to do?" Many will outright side with the Ruskies.

The whole of Ukraine is another, larger can of worms. One can argue "yeh, well once he has violated Ukrainian sovereignty then the whole issue is on the table." That may be in regard to sanctions from the rest of the world but does not negate his turf advance if he takes some part of the East. Think Crimea 2.0.

He may do nothing too and is just probing the atmospherics. The big beneficiary of all of this is China. They are probing the atmospherics of western response too but with no skin in the game- yet. This gives them lots of information for when they take Taiwan.
