Steidlemeyer himself came out last summer and said market profile, the way it was originally developed, is outdated and no longer of much (if any) use. The lecture is on the cme website... It was never an indicator anyways. Read the CBOT guide to market profile if you really want to know what its about....and don't buy this guys shitty indicators

Steidlemeyer himself came out last summer and said market profile is dated and of little to no use. The lecture is on the cme website. There was no tick data like we have now back in the 80s so why would you want to trade using only price and time when there is so much volume information available?
@ EulerFourier: For that is in the toolset the Volume Profile distribution! 
Yes I am in agreement that volume profiles seem to be the way to analyze the markets these days. I believe that's what Steidlmayer was trying to get at with his lecture. You have to be sure you have a good data feed, though.
