Although the block chain idea has many important applications, your assessment of crypto coming a long way caused me to laugh hard out loud.

The most basic things in a currency are safety of principle, low transactional costs, and ease of conducting transactions. In the six plus years of the cryptos, these fundamental things still have not been achieved. Indeed, when it comes to wallet security and exchange practices, things have gotten worse.

There may be great opportunity in infrastructure behind these cryptocurrencies, such as secure storage and multiple, mature consumer centric exchanges. There needs to be appropriate global regulation and the cryptos need to be structured to be competitive in cost with traditional money.

I'm on your side Suffering haha. This crypto stuff is sketch as hell IMO. That's what makes the profit numbers referenced by johnarb so incredible - not is a good way, but a BAD way. Danger Will Robinson, danger.
