Not sure what your angle is or why you feel inclined to comment.

His angle is to keep the thread going, remember any publicity is good in this messed up world.

So the facts are out and let's let the thread die.

I have read half-a-dozen people on this thread claim that they know who MM is. Do they? Probably not and they are all probably thinking of different people. They do not offer any proof, just a comment we are supposed to take seriously.

I am only discussing this thread and nothing else on EliteTrader. If that is too difficult to understand for some of you, please stop responding. Thanks.

Best,

LB

I offered proof of who he was and how to check him out earlier in the thread through Ron Hudson @ www.ronhudson.com.
If Mr Hudson doesn't want to come clean on his association with the Monk that is up to him. His phone number is listed.

Since when have Gann and Dow Theory been so similar? I'd say Gann is in the same class as Fibs and Elliot, while Dow Theory is mostly price action based, especially when you apply it short-term (longer term you may get concerned about sector analysis like Industrial vs. Transport stocks, etc.)

Give me a break the site has a lithogram (or whatever it's called) VERY similiar to profs site and the stucture and trading methods he talks about are similiar Gann and Dow Theory in it's original format.

sheesh !

Hey Proflogic...How come you havent posted in the "S&P Looking Toppy thread?' I'd like to see that. Don't let these guys run you off, I (& quite a few others) enjoyed your postings.

I dont know any of the players but read his blog before he took it down. I enjoyed reading it.

If he is such an upstanding guy, why doesnt he put it back up and allow people to look at it, read it and comment on it?

Taking it down makes it look like hes hiding something.

All,

I waited some weeks to post a response here, but am compelled to do so in support of Mark Monk's character. I believe many of you are off base with respect to Market Monk. I talk to him on a fairly regular basis and find him to have an extraordinary intuition as to where individual stocks and futures are headed. My experience is similar to LeroyB3's, as to Market Monk's uncanny ability to call market turning points (meaning his stop losses are incredibly tight). I am a friend, and am not one of the people competing to go into business with him. In addition, his integrity and life philosophy would prevent him from conceiving or attempting the type of scam referenced above. Instead, please consider that he may have been using the initial deposit as a way to prequalify the various competitors.

Samson77: I went to your site, and want to say that I am impressed with your willingness to express your personal convictions and to say that I agree with your life philosophy.

Mark

Please.

Samson77 made the assumption earlier in this thread that proflogic & monk were similar. Samson77 was close. About 3 years ago both of them had websites on the same server at a university in CA. Prof moved his site to a secure location because he told us in his room that someone was pilfering his stuff. As soon as he left the college server monk's stuff started looking more & more like prof's research. Coincidence?

Regardless, one doesn't need OPM (Other People's Money) if their trading is as good as the Monk say's his is. Teaching is one thing but $10k is rape.

Guys..
I heard from a friend of mine who joined the Market Monk "Monastery" a while ago and as per him the Market Monk failed miserably in his campaign that he started on 11th july with bunch of people. He was told in the beginning of the campaign that He'll get his money back if Monk (David) doesn't perform well. he was promised that its not going to happen though and he is gonna make atleast 100k in a month. Since he failed miserably and couldnt achieve anything even in little more than 2 months... he decided to quit and started asking for his money... Now "Mr. Monk" is having a very hard time even to respond to the emails/phone calls my friend is making to him. He is exploring his options and desparately asking/looking for some help. What you guys think can be done ?? is there any way out that can make this guy pay for him crime ?? comments/suggestion are welcome.

Severals suggestions:

Write the SEC, NFA, CFTC letters of complaint.
Report him to Ripoff Report.com
Call the FBI and Interpol and complain (the have internet fraud depts)

Also

Start posts on every trading chat forum you can.

If MM is legitamate and your friend is just, then he should get his $ back.

If a vendor is fair and honest he would be very wise to give unsatisfied customers refunds if they are legitimate claims and not just trying to rip off the vendor and get a free course.

A wise vendor will usually return the funds.

how many times have we heard this type of story? guru does great until you actually invest money then he fails. you are probably out of luck and will have to chalk it up as education.

education ?? he'd have considered that but he didn't teach a damn thing in those 2 months...the buy in 10k MM charged was exclusively for the real time calls MM was supposed to make which he didn't...... he didnt offer any training course whatsoever... it was strictly for the real time future's calls....
