The markets are going higher with or without you. Technical Analysis is not sorcery but an art. Learn it.
Go put yourself in this "economic water torture".. suits yourself.
To the OP:
Please stop trusting what you read! Meaning, trust factual news, not news that try to tell you what is happening based on somebody's analyses.
What you ought to do instead is pair major news events with chart patterns as the only thing that matters is not how right you or your mate might be, but being able to see what the majority of participants are doing (via chart patterns) and taking their side.
Look at the chart please, I know we all view charts in different ways, but there are some basics that are looked at as common knowledge. Where do you see bull action here?

Provide us with some facts and figures not some vague published articles that validate we are in recession.
Its the reading of these " graveyard tales" that shakes your insides because you are weak and incapable of knowing motivations behind manipulations. Some one, can shake you out rather easily and you fall to the ground in pathetic indignity.
HERE IS SOME TECHNICAL MARKET ANALYSIS FROM S&P MARKETSCOPE
"All three major indexes are now above their respective 50 day moving averages. The most positive, especially to those Dow Theory believers, is that the DJ Transportation Average is now above its 200 day moving average and looks to have put in a bullish reverse head and shoulders pattern. The strength in transports suggests the overall market is likely to strengthen down the road.
Despite two days of gains, all three major indexes are not overbought yet. We could get more upside in the near term as there are still not many believers in this rally. Many are asking whether it is just another bear market rally or end of quarter window dressing.
