Quote from S2007S:

Those minutes were nothing but bearish, I guess the trend is still up no matter what the economy does. I have a friend that is in the contracting business and says it hasnt been this slow with his business since the late 80's. I guess Ill pay no attention to the layoffs as well, housing collapse and inflation. Only 100% risk free money to be made.

:D :D :D :D :D

the terrible thing is, the housing boom greatly increased the population of illegal aliens

now, with the sector that employed them going bust, we leagalize them so that they crush the wages of remaining American workers, and put the illegals on the dole

just like what was done in the tech bust (althogh admitedly, few of the indians were on the dole)

You know darn well you cant get long right here right now
What if I want to make money instead of trying to do what my feelings tell me? Don't I have to go long then

It is striking to see how some S&P 500 stocks (such as Exxon) have done so well, and others (such as D.R. Horton or Sealed Air) have not.

Inflation and no sign of a bottom in housing and the dow goes on to new highs. Something is very wrong here....

The stupid shorts are fueling this bull market. As long as money remains cheap, there is no reason to be short.

I'm sidelined right now cos the yield on the 10 yr has broken an important technical resistance, I think it might be approaching 5% soon, that is certainly not good for stocks.
