If (1) Your are very young and (2) Have a good mentor, you can try your luck trading furues for a couple of years. BUT, if you have a family and have no mentor, get out fast to avoid risking your entire family's future on a shaky foundation. Thanks.
 
Hello, my unseen congregation!! It is 1:00 am and I am excited as heck. I just had a Eureka! moment. I get it. I truly get it! I have found my edge which I believe no one else has. I have defined my status as a trader and my relationship to the markets. Hundreds and hundreds of man hours and the hamster is no longer asleep in his wheel.

Being profitable doesn't necessarily mean one is at ease with the markets. But I am now. Now is the time to go for broke. If it was meant to be, it will be. And if I go bust, so be it. It no longer matters. The power of the markets is no longer to be feared, but revered.

Anyone else have a Eureka! moment? Has anyone out there truly defined their status as a trader and their relationship to the markets?? Anyone??
 
I know you've figured out a lot there.

And just think, without going through everything you've been through, your path would not have lead you here.

rather a provocative conclusion, in which I agree with. But there are some precepts that stick...This is what makes you a Trader.

Uh, you lost me on that one, bro.

"inside knoweldge" is neither necessary nor desireable once you've put together a good methodology for trading the financial markets.

My charts (and proprietary indicators) consistently tell me everything I need to know about the markets, I don't need someone whispering in my ear.

You only have to be "smart" enough to put together a profitable system and stick with it ... good money managment and the nature of compouding will do the rest.
