Market chop... buy the bottom of the range, sell top of range. Nothing other until range breaks.

Criteria for good support? ONE bounce. The "start" is all you get to KNOW. After that, you have to play by ear.

(I was schooled as a chemist. I'm used to "observing" and then trying to figure out why/what happened.)
Dude, why don't ya just post your trades in REAL TIME for everyone to see and you wouldn't even need to do all this rationalizing. Just like your preaching, keep the damn thing simple.

Thought you had a day job?
Hello semperfrosty,

I do.

I use Virtual Private Server, Click Optimization and Back Test, evaluate results, think, think, think, pass or fail, rinse and repeat.

Does not take a lot of effort to do that, maybe like 15 minutes.

That's way too long of DD. I would just shut that down or redesign those algos.
Good Evening hilmy83,

I know right man. They are swinging algos. March was brutal.

I have 3 more in commission almost ready for live.

I desperately need more tick data.

I end up many days in the red but hardly ever a losing quarter. Slow but steady. The absolutely most important factor of trading/investing to me is sound risk management. I fear losses more than anything else but also learned when to pull the trigger on an entry.

Hello M.W.,

Do your algos experience long periods of drawdown?

I have 2 intraday swing algo on the ES and NQ, both been in drawdown since February 2023.

If I posted trades some would want me to explain "why'd you do that"? Then I'd have to capture a chart and explain it all. Not gonna do that.

I'm not looking to impress anybody... just throwing a bone to the board so that y'all might catch some obvious setups.
