Market Calls

Thanks, I am short from a coupole of weeks ago and am quite happy with the trade. I was hesitant to post it, as there do not appear to be many swing traders here.

After the gap tomorrow, there should be price support from shorts taking profits, so the drama could be over early. At least, thats what happened last time.
 
There are plenty of swing traders here, they just don't post much. ET has many many readers compared to the number of active participants. I guarantee your ideas - winners or losers - will be of benefit to a substantial number of members.
 
hi, im swing trader. I'm heavily short index futures looking for a monster down move over next 3 days. (I'm using the rising vix as portending that the move should be bigger than normal) in the direction of the primary trend, which is down. Swing trading rules!!
 
Hey empee good to see you here. I've seen some of your other stuff and you have a lot to offer.

If you have the time and don't mind.... which index or indices are you short, and what price will a rally tell you you're wrong? Also, do you have a target in mind for the move you are expecting? Thanks.

Current price .8002 taking some more profit here and moving trailing stop on runners to .8028



We are now testing the support level that I am expecting to break.

We shall see ... we have a report out in 35 minutes and that may be the trigger for the free fall the next support level is .7945 ... 55 ticks away.

If I'm right and this goes it could be a big move as we would also breach the 200 ema.

Fundamentally this trade makes sense because of the fact that Canada may be forced into an early election, do to political issues within the country and corruption in the current government so there is a level of uncertainty that prevails and that can't be good for the $.

I'm flat but may re enter a short if it breaks back below .8002 and conditions are right.
 
Well my analysis was wrong and we are up 50 ticks.

I am a little upset with myself as there was a clear signal to close all positions and reverse but I was to busy typing in this journal rather then paying close attention to the chart.

It was weird because I had a daily up and it wasn't showing the correct price and when I switched to a 10 minute the conditions clearly showed the reversal.

This error cost me 50 ticks of potential profits.

Sorry guys but that's it for my posting.

I'm not blaming the thread as it was my fault and something strange with my Ensign daily CAD chart but I must stay focused on trading.

For what ever it worth, my sentiment gauges are showing a short term pull up on the markets within next 1 - 2 hours. although the long term gauges are still quite negative the short term gauges are screaming for a sharp short-term pull back up.
