1- Your knowledge of the market is very important for understanding and intelligently participating in a discussion.
2- If you go through the thread, you'll find that the purpose had been to try out what was a new approach of trading(BTW, I found 1 other group who are into the same concept) by simultaneously being short and long when necessary.
2a- As such, there were many benefits to it, amongst which was eliminating stops and averaging per se. There are some significant other benefits to it too which we might discuss later.
3- My smaller calls are indicator based(sort of) and they produce contrary signals at times which is quite fine, since I can call the market but I cannot time it, hence BIG DD's at times which made it very difficult to hang in there. Taking the contrary trades makes it a lot more tolerable and tremendously increases the profits.
4- I dedicated one account to this trial and started testing it with very small lots of 100 SPY shares per call NOT using any STOPS neither any back testing since I don't believe in it and prefer by risking a little money to get the real feel. This trial which started recently has been so far 100% SUCCESSFUL in both directions.
5- The other accounts I use for testing different scalping strategies, one of which is pairing.
6- I don't trade for a living and I don't need to (thank GOD) but if I ever get the mechanical HG which I am pretty close to I might consider although still don't and won't need the Doll and prefer to never do it and just continue with the R&D.
7- Your one guess of the years' low, statistically does not mean anything and you know it, unless it was fundamentally based and not TA. I have several dozens of calls with 100% accuracy unmatched by anyone in the history of the markets! Match 10% of my calls only and you'll be the 3rd. God of trading after my being second to none...
