To Simons credit, even though he didn't say this, the fact that the VIX was only down .13 (according to my esignal) and the markets were up fairly nicely doesn't bode well for a continuation. It has been my experience when there is a discrepancy in the Vix and what the market did, I have found there to be, with great accuracy, a reversal of very current trend.

For a move to the upside of this magnitude, I would have expected the Vix to be down more. It wasn't. Hmmm.......

Regardless, I will trade what I see for thats all I truly know that works :)
 
Spikes in the VIX has been a very good indicator of market bottoms in this bear market and the last but there's a different feel to how the market traded today. It's almost as if the market is expecting some very good news in the morning. There are exceptions to every rule and this feels like one of those exceptions but after all, there is no substitute for "trade what happens." Vix attached below.

Right, and I'm not suggesting the market has to tank tomorrow. Just pointing out the Vix and the way it acted in accordance with todays action. Somewhat strange.

If we do tank tomorrow, I won't pull a "Simon" and blab about how fricking great I am! LOL

Simon was wrong. That is reality. Simon, you are egotistical, that's all, not a market guru. Anything may happen, but nothing is guaranteed.

You talk highly of yourself, and speak down on other people. You need to be humble.

Reality is reality. No way of getting around that. Your predictions were wrong.

Face the facts, face reality. Learn to be humble.
 
You said the markets would tank at least 200 points, it did not. You said the markets will end negative, it did not.

You are clearly wrong.
 
Unfortunately, humility seems to be an attribute that few traders have :)

"Simon is saying tomorrow or Friday, but probaby tomorrow if there is a break below 1220 on the S&P, then the market will tank at least 200 points, then towards the end of the day, there will be some news, in which the market will rally, although still closing negative.

Listen, you said at least 200 points, 20 points is FAR enough.

What are you predictions for tomorrow? Even though I take them with a grain of salt.
 
Simon YOU SAID if we break 1220, we would THEN tank 200 pts. You weren't even close. Opening down 180 doesnt count, you said AFTER we broke 1220 we'd tank 200pts from THERE. Dont try and manipulate the prediction, you were just wrong kiddo :D
