Mark Haines goes after Charlie Rangel

Quote from Eddiefl:

SOCIALISM has begun, " oh you wont give your money to us, well, we will pass a law tomorrow and tax it 90%. Does anybody else want to challenge or disobey us"

hmm,, sounds like Cuba or the old USSR. Slowly but surely, due process, business contracts, legal representation, standard business rights etc will be stripped in order to save the Nation.

You need to read the Constitution.

Right, lets get out of academia for a second and into the real world. IF you were an AIG employee and Congress just passed a bill taxing your bonus 90%, would you spend it?

When the IRS is knocking at your door with handcuffs are you going to hold up a print out of the Constitution.

Quote from Dr. Zhivodka:

Rangel took Jabba the Haines and Erin Burrnet apart limb from limb.

That was funny to watch.

Really? By not directly addressing their perfectly reasonable questions? Rangel came off sounding like a crook to me.

haines was pointing out a potential conflict of interest. rangel getting investigated for tax violations and yet he's out there changing the tax code.
to his half assed defense,these are just allegations but serious one's and i would hope that those who brought it to light can back it up;

Jabba the Haines is a self-righteous blowhard (not that Rangel isn't) but Haines choose to take the conversation to something irrelevant with regard to the "bonus Tax," and got his ass handed to him as a result.

Rangel is chairman of Ways and Mean...WFT else is he supposed to be talking other than tax policy?

I didn't see any ass-handing; I saw guilt and avoidance of a direct question. Truly innocent people are quick to defend themselves in a clear non-legalease manner...I didn't see that, either.

Glad to see most AIG employees going to give back those bonuses that they do not deserve in the first place.
Now government won’t have to pass law to take back bonuses.
